BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

I know alot of you will be shopping for the deals this weekend. Good luck and have some fun too. You might even run into me streaking from store to store for a couple of the good deals. I do want to advise you to study the ads closely. Often times that really good deal on a TV is for a TV that doesn't have all of the latest features or isn't as high a quality. The stores have this down to a science. For example. I'm hearing that Walmart is offering a Wii system at a bargain basement price but Best Buy has the higher quality Wii system with more controllers and an additional game for just a few dollars more! So don't go soley on price - study the features!

The bargain that I want to grab is at Target. It is a Oral B Professional Care Toothbrush for $34.99 and there is a coupon for $10 OFF in the 11/14/10 Red Plum circular which will make the toothbrush just $24.99. This is a really good price and my rechargeable toothbrush is getting quite old.

And remember, there is a coupon for most everything. Just Google the item and you never know what will pop up. Money staying in your pocket!

Mushrooms at Walgreens

In this week's Walgreen's circular there is a DEAL OF THE WEEK for canned mushrooms for $39 each. It's stock up time! I put mushrooms in just about everything!

Walgreen's December Coupon Booklet

The Walgreen's December coupon booklet is now available. Look in the bin that holds their regular circulars. These coupons are good until 1/11/11 and you should be able to do a lot of match ups with sales to get some really good prices between now and 1/11/11.

Ace Hardware 50% off Coupon

I hope you spotted these coupons in your Sunday papers. They are also online if you missed them. On Saturday, November 27 you can get 50% off ONE ITEM UNDER $30. Even if there is nothing on your gift list from Ace Hardware think furnace filters or some other household item. I have begun using their Ace brand furnace filters and really like them.

Gift Card Deal at Cub Foods 11/21-27

I wrote about this late last week but it is truly a REALLY GOOD DEAL so want to mention it again. Cub Foods is offering $20 in groceries if you purchase $100 in select gift cards. The 2 most prominent are Kohl's and Best Buy. I did the deal yesterday. If you plan to go shopping at Kohl's or Best Buy this holiday season and know you will be purchasing at least $100 in merchandise this is a fabulous way to stretch you money even further. You can mix and match and you can purchase up to $500 in gift cards which would make $100 in groceries - THE ONE STICKER IS THAT THE $20 COUPON IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE WEEK. Think Black Friday shopping?

I got this great coupon in the mail yesterday. Keep your eyes peeled for it because I have no idea how I got it so it may be a mass mailing. It's for a FREE 13 oz bottle of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce. The coupon is good until 12/31/11!!! Sounds like a keeper for next grilling season.

Floral Arrangements at Econo Foods

Remember the Econo Foods coupon & recipe booklet that I wrote about earlier this month? Well, I FINALLY spotted a great little coupon in it that I could use. There is a coupon for $2.00 off ANY floral arrangement $14.99 or more! If you are in charge of the centerpiece for Thanksgiving, Christmas or plan to give this as a gift it's a great little coupon you can use. It is good until 12/31/10.

Deal at Walmart

I'm hearing that this Olay Head 2 Toe Collection 2 Gift is on sale for $10 at Walmart. Inside specially marked boxes are coupons for FREE magazines BUT there is also an option to get a $10 REBATE which would make these FREE! I don't know if there is a limit to only one rebate or not per household. A nice gift at a reasonable price.

Possible REALLY good deal

Get a $20 coupon at checkout for your next grocery purchase at CUB FOODS when you buy $100 in select gift cards from 11/21 - 11/27: it is supposed to include itunes, Barnes & Noble, Applebee's, Bass Pro, Amc, KOHL'S and BEST BUY!!!!!!

A fabulous deal would be to purchase a $100 gift card to KOHL'S and then shop Kohl's when they have their 15% off day AND $10 off $50 sales which they have about every 6 weeks. I'm thinking that you could potentially get somewhere in the area of $150 in items from KOHL'S AND $20 worth of groceries. $170 for $100 seems like a really good deal. Even better - save the gift card to use on Super Bowl Weekend when they have about their best sale & CLEARANCE of the year!

BE SURE TO ASK before you attemp this deal to ensure that it is still running at your Cub Foods.

$15 at JC Penney's

WOW! JC Penney's just sent me this great $15 off a purchase of $15.00 or more if I use my JC Penney's Credit Card. Well, ok! I'll go find something and use my card instead of a check. This offer is good from November 18 thru the 24th so if you got it too don't forget to stop into Penney's and take advantage of this great offer!

3rd Thursday in Northfield

3rd Thursday continues in Northfield and be sure to take advantage of these discounts. I love the Rare Pair and this 20% of storewide coupon that they offer EVERY 3rd Thursday. That's the day to shop!

You'll also spot that $5.00 off a $50 purchase coupon at EconoFoods which is great if you need to make a big trip to the grocery store. Think stocking up for Thanksgiving!

Cub Foods has Renuzit air freshners on sale for 4 for $5.00 this week. Use your Buy 3 get 3 FREE coupons and you can pick up 6 of them for $3.75. I think $.63 each is a great price.

I like to use this in my vacant bedroom on the 2nd floor of my house that doesn't get used very much.

Walgreen's in Northfield was out of these items but will be restocked on Saturday 11/20 so you can still get the deals then.

Use the in-ad Walgreen's coupon for 4 cans of Hormel No Bean Chili for $5.00 then use the $1.50 off 3 coupon that came in your circular 2 weeks ago AND the $.55 off 2 coupon that came out several weeks ago to get 4 cans for $2.45! That's $.61 per can! Wow! This usually sells for $1.89 per can at HyVee and other grocery stores.

Also, use the in-ad Walgreen's coupon for Ecotrin low strength 45 count for $1.99 and use the $2.00 off coupon from the 11/14 Smartsource to get them for FREE!

I spotted the Clabber Girl Baking Powder at 2 for $1.00 this week. I think that this is a SUPER PRICE and will stock up. I make alot of baking powder dumplings during the winter and like to use fresh baking powder every year.

Target Great Holiday Toy Sale

These came with the 11/7 Sunday Star Tribune newspapers. Make sure and grab it as there are some super coupons inside for kids toys, bikes, helmets and scooters. Remember that these are Target coupons and can be stacked if you find a manufacturer coupon for the same product to get an even better savings.

Here's a nice coupon for Andes Mints I found at Econo Foods. I always buy these during the holidays. Buy 2 Get 1 FREE by mail in rebate. The offer is good thru 12/31/10 so you could snag some really cheap in the days after Christmas, usually Target will carry these in holiday packaging so they'll mark them down after Christmas if you don't find a great price before then.

I found this at Econo Foods on Tuesday. It's from Kellogg's & Keebler and is packed full of coupons for crackers, worcestershire sauce, juice coctail, tuna and MORE. Worth grabbing one and looking carefully through it for some great coupons as we ease into the holiday season. NOTE the $3.00 coupon on any one Tag book over $9.00. These are a hot item for this holiday season and I bet you could stack it with a Target coupon to get a TAG BOOK really cheap!

I also note the SAVE $10.00 when you buy any 10 participating products coupons near the back of the booklet. Hit the right sale at Cub Foods and you'll save a boatload. I think this offer is worth stocking up, if you can.

My favorite NEW tool!

It doesn't look like much but this is MY FAVORITE new tool. It is an infrared thermometer and detects heat loss around your windows and doorways, etc. Just squeeze the yellow trigger mechanism and point and it gives you a readout of the temperature for the area you pointed it at. A quick and easy way to identify the areas around your windows that need more caulking or insulating.

I found this at Lowes for $39.95. There is also a similar tool by Black & Decker on the market for $59.99 but I was not able to find it in any stores.

P&G Products

I am on the P&G mailing list so received this great P&G circular in the mail with $42 in coupons inside! Yay! I love it when the coupons come to me in the mail!

If you got this circular make sure and check out the last inside page as there is a form to mail in if you purchase $50 worth of any P&G products betwee 9/1 and 12/31/10. You can mail it in to receive over $110 in coupons. Yay!

Here's a nice little tear pad coupon I found at the gas station the other day. You sure can find coupons anywhere so keep your eyes peeled!

This looks pretty interesting. From 10/31 until 11/20/2010 Cub Foods is offering a game piece with every qualifying purchase of $50 or more in a single transaction. It says "every game piece wins a prize!" Wow.

If you're purchasing $100 or more in groceries it might well be worth your while to split it into TWO TRANSACTIONS so you get 2 game pieces!

It seems that there is a $1.00 off coupon for Tide in every month's P&G circular. I always grab this FREEBIE! You'll find trial size Tide in the travel sections of Target & Walmart for $.97. Add in the coupon and a FREE LOAD OF LAUNDRY!

This is one of the (many) FREE items that I pick up to give away to an old friend who is going through tough times. They are always excited to see what's in the bag when I drop it off.

Olay Body Wash

To get the best deal with this coupon use it at Walmart.

Purchase one of the Secret deoderants from the travel section for $.97 and then grab an Olay Body Wash 24 oz that is on roll back for $5.00. Use this coupon and you'll get both for $.97! Yahoo!

FREEBIE ALERT!

In the November P&G circular that was in your paper last weekend there is a coupon for $1.00 OFF one Olay Bar, etc....... (center coupon in picture shown). These single bars are carried at most stores and I have picked them up for FREE at Target and Walmart. Look in the travel sections to find them. Who can't use a creamy bar of soap around the house! The coupon expires on 11/30 so you have all month to find them in your favorite store.

The one FREEBIE that I liked in this week's Walgreens ad was for Ricola Drops. They are on sale for $.99 cents - use $.50 coupon from November coupon booklet - $1.00 off 2 coupon from the 10/17 Smartsource circular. Makes them FREE. To make this deal run absolutely smoothly I would buy some other item too like a piece of caramel, etc.

Domino Sugar at Walgreens

It's kind of a ho hum week at Walgreens but I did spy this nice little deal. There is a coupon in the circular for Domino Sugar - either 16 oz Confectioners or Brown for $.59 each, limit 3. I'd say this is a stock up price for holiday baking which has already begun for many folks.

Econo Foods

Did you snag this mailer for EconoFoods out of last weekend's paper. I hope so. I don't ususally find that many great deals at EconoFoods but this mailer is worth hanging onto just in case.

My big dislike with them is that MOST of the coupons are marked manufacturer's coupon but then in small print say that they are only redeemable at Nash Finch supplied stores. Look closely at these coupons before trying to use them at any other store.

However, there are some nice recipes in the mailer, too.

Dress Barn Mailer

The Dress Barn Real Joy: Giving mailer has a great coupon valid November 3-21st. Get either 25% off your regular priced entire purchase if you use your Dressbard credit card OR $20% off your regular priced entire purchase if you use any other form of payment.

I say use your card and write a check right there to cover the charge. Easy, no bill in the mail but an extra 5% discount to take advantage of.

If your spending over $100, pre-tax, you're entitled to a FREE PASHIMINA so absolutely don't walk out of the store with out that.

Maurices Home Town Holidays

I received a great mailer from Maurices over the weekend. There is a card in it for 20% off your Total Purchse, excluding clearance, good thru November 21, 2010. Did you know these are good on their jewelry, shoes, scarves, purses, too?

Also, while in the store if you give them your email address they will give you a coupon for 30% off a single item valid from November 22 - December 1, 2010.

Great Pillow Deal at JC Penney's

Now that I've finished updating all of my bath towels I went in search of something new to replenish using ANOTHER $10 off a purchase of $10 or more coupon at J.C. Penney's. Well, J.C. Penney's currently has pillows on sale for BUY ONE GET THE 2ND FOR $.01 SALE. I snagged a couple of pillows for under $3.00.

I love new pillows and always try and replace them every two years as they collect dust mites and viruses PLUS they are never the same after they are laundered.

$15.00 Rocket Dogs at Famous Footwear

I picked up these great Rocket Dog sneakers for $15.00 at Famous Footwear this weekend. I combined my $5.00 in Rewards (make sure and sign up for this program so you earn rewards and get all of the discount coupons that they mail out.) AND a 20% OFF YOUR ENTIRE PURCHASE coupon. Yay! They are really comfortable.

I picked up this FREE $7.00 Lip Gloss over the weekend with a purchase of a small body lotion for $3.50. Great Deal! I received some great coupons worth keeping in mind for the Holidays after paying.

I received a coupon for a FREE item of my choice with any purchase $15 or more - good until November 7th.

The second coupon is for $10 off any purchase of $30 or more good from November 8 - December 12th.
