You can find specially marked Swiffer Sweepers at Walmart. It advertises free magazines, BUT, if you go to the website and scroll to the bottom of the page you will find that you can send in for a rebate instead of getting the magazines! Yup! This is the same as the Olay deal at Christmas time. There are coupons out there to make this deal even sweeter but at the very least you'll get your $7.97 back after submitting for the rebate. Love it!

I also snagged these softsoap's on clearance for $.82 each and had a coupon for $.35 off making them $.47 EACH! That's right coupons work on clearance items too!

Disappointed in EconFoods in Northfield

Okay, I don't usually bash any business but this one really bugs me so I thought I'd post about it. I received this catalina coupon for a FREE Sierra Mist Natural 2-Liter which is ONLY usable at EconoFoods about a week before Christmas. I've looked on EconoFoods in Northfield's shelves several times and never found it. On Friday the distributer for Pepsi products, which this is, was filling the shelves so I asked him about it. He said that this store had NEVER offered this product on its shelves! Ha! Issuing coupons that cannot be redeemed is terrible in my book. The distributor fellow said that he would be talking with management about this. We'll see if Sierra Mist Natural appears on the shelves in the next couple of weeks.

Tobacco Field Now Open

There's a new store in Northfield just south on highway 3. It's called Tobacco Field and the interesting thing is they have a "large walk-in humidor." If you have tobacco in your life be sure to grab the coupons from the Northfield News or the latest Northfield Entertainment Guide. They are also advertising a FREE LIGHTER with every carton of cigarettes purchased.

From the Cub Foods Clearance Rack 1/7/11

I grabbed two of these Libby's Pumpkin Bread Kits at Cub Foods in Northfield today for $1.50 each. Wow! The can of pumpkin inside sells for $2.26 so even if you don't make the 2 LOAVES OF BREAD and use the pumpkin for something else you're saving money. They have a ton of these AND they have kits for fudge too at $1.50 which have a whole bag of chocolate chips AND a can of condensed milk in them.

Ronzoni Garden Delight Past at Cub Foods

Here's a nice deal I spotted today, 1/7/11, at Cub Foods in Northfield. Cub has Ronzoni Garden Delight pasta on sale for $1.00 each but look carefully and MOST of the boxes have a $.50 OFF peelie on them so you can get a box for $.50! You will see that the coupons are expired but REMEMBER, Cub Foods takes expired coupons up to 3 months past the expiration date. This sounds yummy - this pasta is enriched with tomato, carrot & spinach. Any easy way to sneak some vegetables into your diet.

Dare Brand Crackers on Clearance at Target 1/711

I love really nice crackers and have been hanging on to several coupons for them hoping for a good sale and have finally found them at the Target in Northfield. I grabbed 2 boxes of Cabaret marked down to $1.68 each and used the coupon shown below that I grabbed at Cub Foods a few months ago to save $1.00 when you buy 2. Yum!

The men's and boy's sweatshirts have finally been marked down to 50% off this week at the Northfield Target. Worth stocking up on a couple for under $7.00 each.

The boy's snow boots at Target in Northfield are marked down to 50% off. There were still lots of sizes available so I thought it was worth letting you all know about it. There are lots of other children's and women's shoes and boots on clearance but they are for the most part not at 50% off yet.

On my tour of the Northfield Target today, 1/7/11, I spotted a clearance on some very luxurious shower curtains on clearance for 50% off. I wish I had several bathrooms to decorate!

Look in you 1/2 Smartsource for one of the coupons and your 11/21 Smartsource for the 2nd. You'll end up paying $.54 per can which is a real steal for Progresso Soup!

Fruit at Aldi this Week 1/2-8

This week at Aldi they have cantaloupe for $1.49 each. What a great price! Their bananas are $.39 per pount which is the same as Kwik Trip and I actually prefer Kwik Trip's bananas. Grapefruit, which I cannot eat, are $.29 each. Navel Oranges are $1.49 per four pound bag - a great price. And pears are $.99 per 4-pack. If you've never tried Aldi believe me it is worth stopping in to check them out. You'll find some favorite prices.
