Did you spot these gift packs at 50% off today at Walmart? If you did you'll note that it offers subscriptions to Allure magazine or other magazines. That's a good deal if you want magazines. BUT! If you go to the web address and read the fine print at the bottom of the page you can ask for a REFUND OF $9.99 instead! Yup, you've got it - spend $5 and get $9.99. Just know that you can only do this once per mailing address AND if you buy more than one gift pack and plan to use more than one address, be sure to buy them in separate transactions because you have to submit the receipt to get the refund. This is a MONEY MAKER!

MAKE SURE AND GET A 12/26 NORTHFIELD SHOPPER!

FREE Hacksaw at Menards next week

So you all know, I'm a fan of FREE things and find myself shopping quite a bit at Menards anyway so I always keep my eye out for their freebies after rebates.

Next week's (12/26-1/1) ad features FREE items after spending $10 includes a 12" Hacksaw (what homeowner couldn't use one of these?) and Forever Food Storage Bags.

It all adds up and it sure did in 2010 so here we go for 2011!

I'm also really liking the 1-Day sale price on these Pagoda Egg Rolls! A box of 4 for $1.49 sounds really reasonable to me plus I like these alot!

I'm sure we'll all be tired of cooking by next Thursday so it'll be time to cruise on in to HyVee's 1-Day Sale and grab a rotisserie chicken or 8 piece pack for $4.88. That's a buy price for me! I like using the rotisserie chickens to make soup and salads.

I know I eat alot more salsa in the wintertime and here's a great price on Pace next week 12/26 - 1/1 at Cub Foods with their in-ad coupon. 2 16 oz. bottles for $3 is a good price.

Now here's a great deal at Cub Foods beginning on 12/26/10. Buy One Get One on Navel Oranges or Red Grapefruit with their coupon in their circular. It looks like you'll get up to 10 pounds of fruit for $3.99.

Tobacco Field NOW OPEN

There's a new place in town and it's called Tobacco Field. It is accross hwy 3 from Dokmo's. They have some coupons in the 12/26/10 Northfield Shopper for you to use in the shop. I don't know anything about the store and their prices but if you use tobacco products it might be worth stopping in - and don't forget these coupons!

Super America

If you have a Speedy Rewards card from Super America you can always use your points online to try and win gas cards too. I do this most every time I've built up 50 or more points. I'm trying to win a $500 gas card right now. Wish me luck!

I particularly like the October 2011 coupon which is Buy One, Get One FREE - on the Ace brand pleated furnace air filters. Yay! Worth grabbing a few calendars just for the coupon you can use in October!

Winter Walk TONIGHT in Northfield - December 9

Tonight's the night to go to downtown Northfield and check out the scene. There is so much stuff happening its unbelievable. Caroling, Food & Drinks, Design a Button, Model Trains, the Festival of Wreaths, a magician - I know this guy and he is really good, bands, dance performances, free massages, chocolate tasting, guitar music, trombone music, pictures AND visits with Santa.

Bundle up the family as it's going to be cold and head on down town for some family fun tonight!

BLACK FRIDAY DEALS

I know alot of you will be shopping for the deals this weekend. Good luck and have some fun too. You might even run into me streaking from store to store for a couple of the good deals. I do want to advise you to study the ads closely. Often times that really good deal on a TV is for a TV that doesn't have all of the latest features or isn't as high a quality. The stores have this down to a science. For example. I'm hearing that Walmart is offering a Wii system at a bargain basement price but Best Buy has the higher quality Wii system with more controllers and an additional game for just a few dollars more! So don't go soley on price - study the features!

The bargain that I want to grab is at Target. It is a Oral B Professional Care Toothbrush for $34.99 and there is a coupon for $10 OFF in the 11/14/10 Red Plum circular which will make the toothbrush just $24.99. This is a really good price and my rechargeable toothbrush is getting quite old.

And remember, there is a coupon for most everything. Just Google the item and you never know what will pop up. Money staying in your pocket!

In this week's Walgreen's circular there is a DEAL OF THE WEEK for canned mushrooms for $39 each. It's stock up time! I put mushrooms in just about everything!

The Walgreen's December coupon booklet is now available. Look in the bin that holds their regular circulars. These coupons are good until 1/11/11 and you should be able to do a lot of match ups with sales to get some really good prices between now and 1/11/11.

Ace Hardware 50% off Coupon

I hope you spotted these coupons in your Sunday papers. They are also online if you missed them. On Saturday, November 27 you can get 50% off ONE ITEM UNDER $30. Even if there is nothing on your gift list from Ace Hardware think furnace filters or some other household item. I have begun using their Ace brand furnace filters and really like them.

Gift Card Deal at Cub Foods 11/21-27

I wrote about this late last week but it is truly a REALLY GOOD DEAL so want to mention it again. Cub Foods is offering $20 in groceries if you purchase $100 in select gift cards. The 2 most prominent are Kohl's and Best Buy. I did the deal yesterday. If you plan to go shopping at Kohl's or Best Buy this holiday season and know you will be purchasing at least $100 in merchandise this is a fabulous way to stretch you money even further. You can mix and match and you can purchase up to $500 in gift cards which would make $100 in groceries - THE ONE STICKER IS THAT THE $20 COUPON IS ONLY GOOD FOR ONE WEEK. I got this great coupon in the mail yesterday. Keep your eyes peeled for it because I have no idea how I got it so it may be a mass mailing. It's for a FREE 13 oz bottle of Country Bob's All Purpose Sauce. The coupon is good until 12/31/11!!! Sounds like a keeper for next grilling season.
